Blog May '24 Spring parties, beautiful pictures of cheerful children's faces.

As soon as we enter the month of May and most of the flowers are in full bloom, many celebrations are announced, such as communions, spring festivals, baby showers and weddings.

How beautiful it is to capture a snapshot on these special occasions. Both of these portrait drawings were made based on such a snapshot. As pencils I use HB to sketch the contours, after which I continue working layer upon layer with 2B and 4B.

Shadows are small hatched lines that are then feathered to create a nice transition. I continue working like this until I am satisfied with the result.
