My name is Sonja Van Waeyenbergh, I am a recognized artist and work with pastel, panpastel and pencil.

Ever since I was a child I have always loved to draw and this still remains a passion for me.
For example, as a teenager I made beautiful oil paintings, but I have now specialized in realistically drawing people's faces and drawing animals, especially horses and dogs.
I start from a photo that I incorporate into a sketch as correctly as possible. The sketch is then carefully built up layer by layer to create the most realistic work possible, I get the best out of the photo.
Color knowledge is of great importance.
By using different techniques, depth and perspective are created, with the ultimate goal of creating an image that is as realistic as possible.
The final drawing is fixed and framed with a custom-made passe-partout.
The customer is then delivered personally, so that the work can be handed over in the best conditions.
I would also like to thank my fans, because thanks to the assignments entrusted to me, I continue to find better ways of working.

If after viewing my gallery you might think, I like that style, I have a photo that I would like to see enlarged in a frame, in pastel shades and I already have a nice place for it in the living room, kitchen, hallway, staircase or bedroom, or... this would really be an original personal gift that I would like to show off. Then you are probably wondering what the possible sizes of frames are and what an order would cost you? For this I would like to refer you to my [price list] which you can find under FAQ, the standard sizes are actually based on the frames that are commercially available, namely 30x40cm, 40x50cm or 50x70cm. Or request I am open for other dimensions.
The drawing paper is a standard A3 sheet that is only cut to size once the matching passe-partout has been cut.
Now that you have found your best photo, you can send it to me digitally, you can do this via the [contact] tab, in wich you can fill in your wishes in the form of a message.
I will then look at your message and the quality of the photo(s) and contact you, where I will summarize the price, the dimensions of the drawing, the frame size and a delivery time.
If you then confirm to me that the order is OK, I can schedule your work, you will then hear from me when the work is ready to be delivered by myself. You can also pick it up from me or you can pick it up at one of the [events], where I exhibit my latest works.
You can also come to one of the [events] with your photo(s), so you can discuss everything with me on site, I will keep the photo(s) to make the drawing and you will receive it back together with the framed drawing upon delivery. The price includes all costs of the finished drawing, including passe-partout and frame, but also delivery within Belgium.
To really show off your drawing, you have the option to have it made with anti-reflective glass, this is an additional cost of €100, but the drawing will look even better. You can read more about this under the tab [anti-reflective glass].
