Recently I found an older picture of my daughter and myself. Pure nostalgia, I would have liked to have captured in a drawing. Here I choose that beautiful moment that I just want to capture, not the full picture but a part of the picture that I always found very special.
After drawing the outlines with an HB pencil, shadows are shaded with a 2B pencil and the lines are feathered with a fine feather. Gradually I work on the two faces, taking into account light and shadow. It doesn't hurt to regularly view your drawing from a distance and evaluate it yourself. It's easier to notice mistakes from a distance. Rotating your drawing sheet makes it easier to draw the hair.
Satisfied with the result, I framed this beautiful memory and gave it a nice spot in our living room.
