Cheerful garlands in soft and vibrant colors adorn our Christmas trees.
2025 is drawing to a close, and we're already eagerly anticipating the new year.
As promised, here's a review of the portrait drawing of a proud grandfather and his granddaughter.

This drawing exudes pure love and is therefore perfect for this holiday season.
I created this portrait drawing in PanPastel, combined with pastel pencils.
The colors I use for older skin are darker than for children's skin. Based on PanPastel, I draw and color with Dark Flesh, Burnt Orange, Ochre, and soft brown tones. All the small details, such as folds and wrinkles, are carefully drawn to capture the authenticity.

The little girl's dress and the grandfather's suit are both drawn and colored with PanPastel, with various blue pencils creating the shadows and highlights.
I enjoy working with PanPastel because it allows you to quickly cover larger areas.
The dress's collar is lacework. In the drawing, this is achieved by outlining the collar in soft pink and highlighting it with titanium white.
Because it's not always easy to know where to stop drawing, and because this drawing has emotional meaning, I decided to give it a heart shape.

The drawing has since found a special place with her family in Greece.
And so, my creative year ends, and it only remains for me to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year.
