After the many dogs that I have drawn in recent months, I would like to introduce this drawing for our cat lovers.
The most important thing is the look in the eyes. A look can be very recognizable and penetrating, something I spend great importance at in my drawings. As with most of my pastels, I start drawing the eyes and work layer upon layer, starting with the lighter shades, building up with the bright colors to the darker tones.
As the drawing progresses, everything becomes a whole of many colors by softly feathering the colors. The coat is ultimately a set of small hatched lines of different colors.
The small blanket is a combination of white, beige, soft pink, lilac and gray tones.
