This pastel drawing was made in combination of PanPastel and pastel pencils.
The first layer of the fur is PanPastel, where I then hatch small lines with different colors such as rustcolors, ocher, and brown. The tail is also colored based on PanPastel, lightened with White Bismuth from Caran D'ache, and gently feathered to create a depth effect.
The branch, a whole of beige, gray tones, highlighted with Titanium white and depths drawn and colored with raw amber and French gray light, form the colors of a Birch. The leaves turn to autumnal warm colors.
